Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace
Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace are the dynamic duo behind up-and-coming label Illionaire. The youthful unisex brand was born in 2006 inspired by the duo's love of a few of their favorite things.
Both hailing from Western Australia, Woodcock, comes from an industrial design background while Grace is a self-confessed vintage enthusiast. Together, Woodcock and Grace fuse their creative vision to head up the label's men's and women's wear collections respectively.
Illionaire officially launched on to the Australian market in 2007 when Woodcock participated in RAFW's New Generation designer showcase.
Moving onwards and upwards from their fashion week debut, Illionaire made its mark at the RAFW S/S 2008 collections when the duo presented their first individual show in Sydney. It signaled a new-found direction for the brand, moving away from its awkward beat street edge and entering into more mature high society and urban social evening wear.
A mixture of pastels, bronze, black and grey formed the basic colour palette while artfully-selected fabrics and unique prints and graphics that trademarks the uniqueness of Illionaire.
