The Fashion Game: Silvian Heach S/S 2010

Silvian Heach is a brand product and is distributed by Arav Fashion S.p.a., a company from Campania that is also well known in international markets.

The brand was started in the summer of 2002, thanks to the activity of 2 entrepreneurs – Mena Marano and Giuseppe Ammaturo – who already had previous experience in the fashion sector.
The first year of business produced important sales results and, following this growth, the company was immediately ready to market its brand abroad.

In 2005, they designed an important retail development plan for the opening of direct flagship stores (in the most important cities in Italy and abroad) and franchise outlets.

In 2008, Arav Fashion was transformed from an S.r.l to an S.p.A, and its employees grew from 20 to more than 100, a sign of the company’s rapid expansion.

The entire production process takes place under the careful and meticulous control of specialised Italian personnel in their own factories, permitting a management control with strictly ‘made in Italy’ criteria and parameters.
The company currently has 55 retail outlets, both direct and under franchise, 2,000 corners in multibrand stores, 4 showrooms (in Nola, Bologna, Milan and Rome), and retail outlets abroad (in Greece, Spain, Russia and Egypt).

Love in An Elevator: Costume National S/S2010

Hailing from the heel of Italy's boot - the town of Lecce - Ennio Capasa was raised on fashion. Capasa's parents were proprietors of several upscale boutiques that provided Italy's Elite with season-less couture. As a child, the designer despised fashion, but the allure of design lead him to enroll in the Milan Academy of Fine Arts in 1982. As the founder of Costume National, Capasa has embraced his fashion beginnings and today designs clothes that straddle the line between everyday wear and on-the-town elegance.
Costume National tends to focus on the hips, neck, and shoulders. It's classic cosmo style combined with urban colors working in tandem with glossy and matte accents.
His clothing has been described as "second-skin" and close-to-the body without simply being tight. Capasa now owns the main brand of street couture, Costume National, Costume National Homme for men, and the more affordable C’N’C Costume National for a younger clientele.
It is of little wonder that some of the greatest stars of the world of music and cinema like Mick Jagger, Jovanotti, Beyonce’, Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Scarlet Johansson, Cate Blanchett, Keanu Reeves and Stefania Rocca have chosen Capasa for red carpet appearances or tour costumes.

Canadian Character, Steadfast Style: Fullum & Holt

Fullum & Holt was established in 1897 in Old Montreal . While applying their trade in creating leather goods, a group of Canadian craftsmen began to make an assortment of leather goods consisting of  spats, garters, armbands and braces under the company name Arrow Liberty & Garter.
In 1914 the company was awarded contracts with the Canadian Armed Forces to supply military belts and harnesses for the Cavalry. Investing their resources wisely,  in 1946 the company built an 80,000 sq.ft. factory on in Montreal at the corner of Fullum & Holt... thus the brand was born. The factory now sits under a 300 ft. skylight employing over one hundred skilled workers and craftspeople operating with the same spirit and fundamentals that the company was founded on over a hundred years ago.
