The Watch Watch January 2009

In t he fall of 2006, Milan-based designer and wris twatch aficionado Marco Mavilla designed the first TOYWATCH. A lightweight, oversized plast ic watch, inspired by high design timepieces, TOYWATCH is unexpected, arresting and irreverent. Under the direction of fine-watch collector and TOYWATCH USA CEO, Randy Gordon, TOYWATCH was brought to the USA in the summer of 2006. An anti-luxury statement in a luxury obsessed culture, TOYWATCH has become the "it" wristwatch and the "must-have" item among style influentials and tastemakers. TOYWATCH watches are available at www.toywatchusa.com, and in more than 300 fine stores, including Barney's, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales. Fans of TOYWATCH include Oprah, Madonna, Sienna Miller, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Owen Wilson, Uma Thurman and Katie Holmes.

Naked Collection
The Naked Collection offers a watch completely encased in clear plastic. This design reveals the innerworkings of your timepiece. Your Toy Watch wrist candy features an independent second hand, Roman numerals, and a skeleton of stainless steel or rose gold.

Strong Collection
The Strong collection reflects the evolution of TOYWATCH design. The soft geometric lines on this fresh octagonal chronograph feature two counter dials (stopwatch dial and 24 hour military time dial) and a date window. Like many signature TOYWATCH designs, clear plastic is utilized in the design. In The Strong collection, the case is plastic, extends around the wrist and connects with a rubber strap. Other unique design elements include an inner dial ring with the TOYWATCH logo, a bold crown cover and a crown bumper. Dials measure in at 42mm and 37mm in The Strong collection.

Neon Plasteramic Collection
The ever-popular Plasteramic watch goes Neon! These brightly colored ceramic looking watches come two ways: a Chronograph and Date/Time style. The Neon Plasteramic watches glow in colors such as Kryptonite Green, Plutonium Pink, Ultra Violet and Atomic Orange. The Chronograph is available in two additional colors - chic Cobalt Blue and Yellow Submarine. These watches are a must have accessory!

HP Firebird 803 dedicated to the Gaming Connoisseur in You

Who new hardware could look so handsome?
HP introduces its high-end gaming PC - the Firebird 803. As the name suggests, the new PC resembles its predecessor, the HP Blackbird 002. What differentiates it from the former one is its relatively smaller size. This much anticipated gaming rig comes packed with Intel Core 2 Quad CPU, twin NVIDIA GeForce 9800S graphics cards in SLI and 320GB hard drives. Liquid cooling ensures supreme functionality and the external power supply makes this system extremely energy friendly, with consuming 80% less power than other gaming systems. The Firebird 803 will cost you around $2100 when it hits the store shelves next month (tenatively scheduled). A more budget conscious Firebird model sans Blu-ray will be up for grabs for $1800.
