Giles Deacon
After graduating from London's Saint Martins in 1992, Giles Deacon worked with Jean Charles De Castelbajac in Paris for 2 years. From 1998 until 2002 he was a designer at Bottega Veneta and the Gucci Group.In February 2004 Giles presented his first collection at the Chelsea Pensioner's Club at the Chelsea Royal Hospital. In November 2006 he was awarded the distinction of English Designer of the Year.
Since its launch in 2003, Giles's label has been carried by the world's most famous retailers and his runway show has become a highlight of London Fashion Week. Giles takes a very personal approach to his profession. He participates actively in purchasing meetings, which is much appreciated by international buyers and store managers. Thandie Newton, Kate Moss, Drew Barrymore, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Daisy Lowe and Daphne Guinness are among his best-known faithful customers.
