MERCI PIERRE: HAUTE FOR HERMES

French Designer Pierre Hardy created a new version of the Scottish Ghillie for Hermès’ fall/winter season 2009/10, making the tongueless shoe once again a Hermès season highlight. Hardy incorporated in his design of the open toe stiletto Tonight typical elements of the ghillie such as tassels and laces that criss-cross the top of the foot. His shoe creations are known to be more wearable art than simply footwear, and this is true for the Tonight as well. So they may not be the most comfy shoes, but they are sure to provide for an elevated feeling - not just because of its four-and-a-half inch heels.
