Aussie Slick-Illionaire Clothing

Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace

Ben Woodcock and Kat Grace are the dynamic duo behind up-and-coming label Illionaire. The youthful unisex brand was born in 2006 inspired by the duo's love of a few of their favorite things.

Both hailing from Western Australia, Woodcock, comes from an industrial design background while Grace is a self-confessed vintage enthusiast. Together, Woodcock and Grace fuse their creative vision to head up the label's men's and women's wear collections respectively.

Illionaire officially launched on to the Australian market in 2007 when Woodcock participated in RAFW's New Generation designer showcase.

Moving onwards and upwards from their fashion week debut, Illionaire made its mark at the RAFW S/S 2008 collections when the duo presented their first individual show in Sydney. It signaled a new-found direction for the brand, moving away from its awkward beat street edge and entering into more mature high society and urban social evening wear.

A mixture of pastels, bronze, black and grey formed the basic colour palette while artfully-selected fabrics and unique prints and graphics that trademarks the uniqueness of Illionaire.

Look of the Day from Rihanna

Never failing to make a GRAND entrance, Rihanna was snapped today entering an establishment in Manhattan.
Why this ensemble works: She's anchored the look with Leopard Print Pony Hair Louboutin pumps. Her sleeveless Worsted Wool Cropped Pea Coat polishes her razor sharp style, while the cut off white tanks tells us she's headed to a fun lunch after this meeting. Her draped trousers could either be moleskin on summer silk, whatever the textile, its hugging ever bit of her Amazonic physique, so let's give her a pass on the midday midriff shall we? She managed to keep her accessories simple with subtle glints of gold at her wrist and neck. Once again she keeps us guessing by escaping the tired usage of a statement bag by opting for a square mini clutch, as well as, nixing the fumble of earrings today. Overall Ri-Ri earns an A+ for always being Above Average!
